I am looking at the trees and the rich, brown, fertile earth I have not seen here at The Country Place, our Pocono retreat center, since, well, since before Christmas.

There was always a blanket of snow that finally the big rains this weekend washed away. It is warm enough to open a window and let the beginning smells of spring enter my nostrils. It is a rich, woodsy smell, the smell of green and growth.

I also notice that this harsh winter has left fallen trees all over the wooded places that will need to be collected, made into firewood or mulch. Flowers need to be planted and grass readied for the many groups that will have the privilege of sharing this wonderful sanctuary in the months to come.

I am also aware that it is time to give my thoughts a good cleaning; to get out the cobwebs of anger, the knots of fear, the blocks of blame, and make more room for the caring, compassion, and creativity ready to take their places.

We now know enough about brain science to begin the awesome task of taking charge of our own inner landscape. While visualization has been used for years to help people cope with illness, it is only now that we can bring this process into the business realm as a true and tested way to create a safe stress zone where team conflict can be resolved and creative collaboration is the real order of the day.

Before you “spring clean your brain” you need to know what old, outdated patterns you want to get rid of. No, they do not go to Goodwill; they will get transformed into the creativity I just mentioned.

Start by taking the Pattern Aware quiz on my website. Then give us a call at (570) 636- 3858 for a free consultation. You can begin to get your brain ready for the spring, all clear and pristine, gets in gear, ready for the newest version of the special you.
